Can that sign actually get you towed?
I checked every temporary tow-away permit San Francisco Public Works has published, so you don’t have to.

About this data and the counts
Tow Status comes directly from the public permit record. I downloaded this snapshot; it is not live enforcement information. Selecting another date changes the permits' date coverage; it does not recreate their past or future tow status.
Date coverage uses inclusive tow-away start and end dates, with permit dates and expiration as fallbacks. Missing or invalid date ranges are excluded from date-filtered results. Hours, weekdays, posted sign conditions, and exact curb limits are not represented here.
I map permits by exact normalized address matches to the city's Enterprise Addressing System. Unmatched permits remain searchable in the list and counts. Multiple permits at one address are grouped on the map.
Public Works' street space guidance explains tow sign verification. Check the original record and posted signs for an individual location.
